Five Years of Success: LAU Pharmacy Graduates Excel in Career Outcomes (2020-2025)

LAU School of Pharmacy graduates continue to achieve strong career outcomes, demonstrating the value of an LAU pharmacy education in preparing adaptable, skilled, and globally competitive healthcare professionals.

Based on alumni survey data collected between 2020 and 2025, graduates from both the BS Pharmacy and PharmD programs achieved outstanding employment outcomes. When accounting for graduates who pursue further education or other career pathways, more than 85% of alumni successfully transitioned into employment, continued professional development, or advanced studies, within one year after graduation.

LAU pharmacy graduates are building careers across diverse sectors, including community pharmacy, hospital and clinical practice, academia, healthcare organizations, and the pharmaceutical industry. BS Pharmacy graduates demonstrate broad professional versatility, while PharmD graduates are particularly represented in hospital and clinical settings, with 32% working in hospital or institutional pharmacy roles.

The pharmaceutical industry continues to emerge as an important career pathway, with 12-13% of graduates from both programs working in industry roles. Alumni contribute across areas including marketing, production, and regulatory affairs, reflecting the expanding opportunities available to pharmacy professionals.

Innovation and entrepreneurship remain key strengths of the LAU pharmacy experience. Approximately 20% of graduates participated in research and innovation activities during their studies, while more than half reported developing an entrepreneurial mindset. Among recent PharmD graduates, interest in entrepreneurship reached 56%, highlighting the program’s role in fostering future healthcare innovators.

Graduate satisfaction remains exceptionally high, with more than 87% of employed alumni satisfied with their current positions. Most graduates also reported achieving their intended career goals, including 79% of BS Pharmacy graduates and 85% of PharmD graduates working in roles they originally aimed to pursue.

LAU graduates are also achieving success internationally. Approximately 13-15% of alumni work outside Lebanon, including PharmD graduates pursuing opportunities in the United States and other global healthcare markets.

Confidence in LAU’s preparation is equally strong. More than 70% of graduates reported that LAU adequately prepared them for their first job, and approximately two-thirds rated their preparation as better than graduates from other institutions.

The 2020-2025 alumni outcomes highlight LAU School of Pharmacy’s continued commitment to developing graduates who are clinically prepared, innovative, and ready to make meaningful contributions to healthcare locally and globally.
