Gioia Wehbe
Senior Administrative Coordinator
As an Administrative Coordinator at the School of Pharmacy, Gioia provides comprehensive administrative and technical support to both the Simulation-Based Pharmacy Education (SBPE) and Residency Programs. Her role involves developing and maintaining databases for assessments and performance tracking, coordinating logistics for simulation activities and OSCEs, managing program budgets, and supporting orientation and evaluation processes. She also ensures smooth operation of PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs through accreditation support, stakeholder communication, survey administration, continuing education coordination, and maintaining updated program documentation and online content.
Gioia began her full-time career at LAU in 2012, as an Academic Assistant in the Computer Science and Mathematics Department and then in the Natural Sciences Department. She then held the role of the Assessment Officer for the School of Arts and Sciences, supporting program reviews and accreditation. After over a decade in the School of Arts and Sciences, she transitioned into Healthcare Education, first in the School of Medicine, focusing on student assessment, and currently in the School of Pharmacy starting 2025.
Gioia is an LAU Alumni with a Masters in Computer Science. She served as a research assistant in Machine Learning and Bioinformatics and taught several Programming Labs. As a student, she held a part-time position at LAU supporting the Operations and Maintenance Department in data analysis and KPI measurement.
Outside of work, Gioia is an active, outdoorsy mom who enjoys nature, adventure, and reading.
