First Annual Lebanese Pharmacy Schools Symposium
United in Action: Pharmacy Education and Practice Advancement
Welcome to our symposium. Under the patronage of Dr. Michel Mawad, President of LAU, support of Provost George Nasr, and in collaboration with the 4 other pharmacy schools in Lebanon, we are very excited at LAU to host the first Annual Lebanese Pharmacy Schools Symposium: United in Action: Pharmacy Education and Practice Advancement. The symposium will bring together pharmacy basic scientists, social administrative scientists and clinical scientists’ presenters from the respective five pharmacy schools in Lebanon as well as two international speakers who will address novel pharmacy practice settings. Key stakeholders are also invited to discuss major topics raised by speakers in a round table and panel discussions. The symposium will run over two days February 17th & 18th, 2024, addressing 6 themes:

- Theme I: Pharmacy Education in Lebanon: Challenges and Opportunities
- Theme II: Pharmacy Practice in Lebanon: Challenges and Opportunities
- Day 2:
- Theme III: Innovations in Pharmacy Practice
- Theme IV: Novel Pharmacy Practice Settings
- Theme V: Scholarly Activities and Research in Pharmacy
- Theme VI: Advocacy for our Profession
The goal of the conference is to inform, learn and engage based on the collective experience of colleagues presenting, key stakeholders and participants to advance pharmacy education and practice in Lebanon. It is promising to be an exciting and fruitful symposium. Looking forward to your presence and participation.
