Staff Performance Appraisal

The assessment of staff performance utilizes the University Human Resources Department Employee Performance Appraisal document that is completed annually (by early July) by the immediate supervisor of the School staff member. The document is discussed directly with the staff member during the annual staff performance evaluation meeting. The document explicitly addresses staff members job-related performance and abilities in various domains as they relate to their work responsibilities such as in communication, teamwork, dependability, initiative, quality of work, productivity, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The document also addresses the individual staff member short- and long-term professional development needs and provides the opportunity to outline an appropriate plan for any needed training, education or mentoring.
